Our Club Story
Since 2000, the Zonta Club of Mascoutah Area sponsors scholarships and serves the Mascoutah area with numerous community projects and supports local charities and the Zonta Foundation for Women; helping women and girls around the World.
Our Activities
Annually, our Club participates in the Mascoutah Township School Supply Drive. We are also very involved with the “Zonta Says No” campaign during the 16 Days of Activism with many signs and banners, mayoral proclamation, and news articles (both in the newspaper and Facebook), and we also recognize 50 deserving women in the community with a yellow rose on International Women’s Day/Zonta Rose Day. At our May Birthday Party banquet, we present scholarships to graduating high school students and some already attending college, present our Zonta Foundation monies to local charities (including the Violence Prevention Center, Women’s Pregnancy Care Center, the Mascoutah Food Pantry, Caritas Family Solutions, Dolly Parton Imagination Library), and many more. And one third of our fundraising monies are sent to Zonta International.
